Booking and payment
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Not inside our core service area, which covers Markham, Unionville, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and North York. Bookings further out take a $10 deposit that comes off your total on the day.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major cards, tap to pay, Google Pay and Apple Pay, secure payment links through Square, and cash. We don’t take e-transfer. Payment is taken after the job is done and you’re happy with it, and receipts are available on request.
What is your cancellation policy?
Rescheduling or cancelling is free with at least 24 hours’ notice. Inside 24 hours, any deposit is forfeit. Weather reschedules are always free, with no notice needed.
Do I need to be home, or can I leave the keys?
Up to you. Most people leave the keys and get on with their day. We text when we start and when we’re done.
Is tipping expected?
Never expected, always appreciated. The best tip is booking again or sending a friend our way.
Prices and sizes
How does the condition of my car affect the price?
Every listed price is a starting price for a car in normal condition, and includes tax. Heavy winter salt, a lot of pet hair, or a car that hasn’t been cleaned in years takes more time, and time is what we’re pricing. We always confirm the final number with you before we begin.
How do you decide which size my car is?
By the body of the vehicle, not the badge. Sedan covers cars like a Civic or Corolla. SUV covers two-row SUVs and crossovers like a CR-V or RAV4, plus full-size sedans. Truck or van covers three-row SUVs, pickups and vans.
How long does a detail take?
It depends on the size of the car and the shape it’s in. As a rough guide, an interior or an exterior takes 1 to 3 hours, and a full detail takes 2 to 5 hours. Heavy salt, pet hair or neglect adds time. We confirm the time with you before we start.
Winter and road salt
Do you detail in winter?
Interiors run all year, as long as the car is in a garage, a carport or under a covered driveway. Exterior work needs an outdoor tap, and most Ontario taps are shut off and drained for the winter, so exterior jobs pause once temperatures drop below freezing. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we reschedule for free.
Can you get winter salt out of the carpet?
Mostly, and we’ll be honest about the rest. Salt that has sat for a season or longer works down into the padding under the carpet, not just the surface. Expect an 80 to 90 percent improvement. A full reset means lifting the carpet to treat the padding, which mobile detailing can’t do. Salt that has crystallised into rubber mats may not come back completely either, and we’ll tell you that before you book.
The work
Do I need water and power where the car is parked?
Every job needs an outdoor outlet. Exterior work also needs an outdoor tap. If your place doesn’t have both, a family member’s driveway, a friend’s place or a workplace lot all work. Underground parking usually has no tap, so that’s interior only, and with no outlet we can’t do the job at all.
What if my car has a lot of pet hair?
That’s fine, but heavy hair takes real time. Pet hair removal is a $25 add-on, or the pet package at $120 pairs it with a full seat shampoo. Mention it when you book or send a photo, and we’ll confirm the price up front.
Can you remove smells, smoke or pet odour?
We can’t promise an odour will be fully gone, since that takes an ozone treatment, which we don’t do. An extraction pulls what’s in the fabric out instead of covering it, and the doors stay open for a couple of hours while we work, so it usually helps a lot. If the smell is in the headliner or the seats are leather, there’s less for an extraction to work on, and we’ll tell you that up front.
Are your products safe for wraps, PPF and ceramic coatings?
Yes. Everything we use is safe for clear coat, vinyl wrap, PPF, and existing wax, sealant or ceramic coatings.
Do you detail electric vehicles and hybrids?
Yes. Our products and wash methods are safe for EVs and hybrids, including Tesla, Polestar and Ioniq. We take extra care around charge ports and sensors.
What don’t you do?
Engine bays, paint correction, polishing, scratch removal, headlight restoration, rust removal and body work are outside what we do. We also don’t take boats, RVs or motorcycles. If you need paint or body work, a body shop is the right call, and we’re happy to detail the car afterwards.
What is the 24-hour quality promise?
If you spot something within 24 hours that was part of the job you booked and got missed, send us a photo and we’ll come back and fix it at no charge. It covers work that was in the job, not new dirt, set-in stains we flagged beforehand, or anything outside what you booked.
What about damage that was already on my car?
Before each job we note anything already there, like chips, scratches, dents, broken trim, or stains that won’t come out. We carry general liability insurance and will always tell you if anything happens during a job. Please take valuables and personal items out before we begin.
Will you put photos of my car online?
Before and after photos help us show our work, so by default we may use photos of your car on our website and social media, with plates and anything identifying cropped or blurred. If you’d rather we didn’t, say so in your booking notes.
Driveways and bins
Can I book driveway washing without a car detail?
Yes, it’s available on its own. It’s cheapest added to a detail, since we’re already at your place with everything unpacked.
Will pressure washing damage my interlock or pavers?
No. We set the pressure for each surface, and interlock and pavers get a lower setting so the joint sand stays put. If your joint sand is already rough, we’ll tell you before we start.
